iMist underwent testing to obtain a fully compliant certificate in accordance to the BS:8458.
To be fully compliant, iMist had to pass 6 different tests, mainly pointing towards being ceiling mounted, a wet-pipe system and being mechanically activated.
iMist went through testing in accordance to cUL’s water mist strainers, to enable us to trade worldwide.
Our water-mist strainer is listed for use in Canada by UL. At iMist, we are proud of this certification.
iMist underwent extensive testing at our manufacturing factory in Hull, to ensure we meet the ISO 9001 standard, through BSI.
We’re proud that we met the requirements and obtained our ISO 9001 certificate for iMist.

The Safe Contractors certification reflects that safety is vital when working on a construction site, obtained by submitted our procedures for health & safety in the workplace. We care for our employees, and their health & safety is key to iMist.
iMist STS 12 430 Y-Patterned Strainer is WRAS approved. WRAS approval demonstrates it is of a suitable quality and standard against the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Water Supply (Water Fittings) (Scotland) Byelaws, provided it is installed and used in accordance with the installation and requirement notes and any other restrictions within the approval.
The SMAS Worksafe certificate assess workplace health and safety procedures to ensure we’re working under safe practices.
