Keep Fire Safe This Valentines Day
A lot of people will be celebrating Valentines around the country today, but if you’re planning on having a romantic evening in, make sure you don’t end your Valentine’s day with someone putting the fire out.
When planning your romantic cuisine, incorporate your fire safety into the process. It’s been said time and time again, but leaving cooking unattended can have disastrous results, especially if you’ve had that much needed glass of wine or two. Distractions come easily, so be conscious about leaving tea towels or oven gloves by stoves, and most importantly, you don’t want to burn that romantic meal!
Candles are popular at this time of year, whether you’re using them on the table with your meal, or to set the mood in the room, make sure you put them out, and keep them attended whilst burning. Similarly, to cooking, it takes a split second for a fire to start from a candle. The safest option is opting for battery powered candles, they give the same affect, without the fire.
Enjoy your celebrations tonight, and don’t end the evening with the wrong spark.
