iMist Achieve BSI ISO 9001:2015
iMist Joins the Fire Industry Association
To complement the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate of Registration (FM 705654) held by iMist manufacturing in Hull, we have looked to the fire industry market place to try & identify an industry-accepted 3rd party accreditation scheme for design & installation.
Unfortunately, the well-known accreditation schemes are based on sprinkler system technology and equipment & are not suitable for high-pressure watermist systems.Therefore, we approached the British Standard Institute with a view to developing an internationally recognised accreditation for the design, supply & installation.
After working closely with the BSI, we are pleased to announce that iMist have now achieved BSI ISO 9001:2015 Certificate of Registration (FS 708947) for the design, supply & installation of water mist fire protection systems.
Under BS8458 Section 7.1.1, as the manufacturer & as our systems are designed & installed to our design manual we are not required to hold independent 3rd party accreditation. We feel it essential to obtain this accreditation as we strongly support the Welsh Assembly Government’s movement to make it a mandatory requirement that all design & installation works are only undertaken by companies that are registered members of a 3rd party certification scheme.
